The Butt Handling Crane is responsible for processing high-temperature anode butts removed from electrolysis cells. Since butts are typically covered in hard electrolyte crusts, this crane is engineered with extreme impact load resistance. Its grabs or clamps are reinforced with wear-resistant alloys to withstand the heavy-duty conditions of high vibration and repetitive mechanical cleaning.
